Our Jet Ski Safari packs the ocean, the Noosa National Park coastline, a North Shore beach stop and the river circuit into one 90 minute guided ride. Here’s how your time on the water plays out, how to pick a session and what to bring on the day.
Your Safari, Minute by Minute
Before You Ride
Check in at Terrace Marina, 290 Gympie Terrace, Noosaville, 15 minutes before your start time. We’ll fit your life jacket, and your guide will show you how the jet ski works before you head off.
The First Hour: Ocean and Coastline
Your guide leads the group down the Noosa River, across the Noosa Bar and out into the ocean. From there you ride along the national park coastline past Little Cove and Tea Tree Bay to Granite Bay. Dolphins are sometimes spotted along this stretch, so keep watching the water.
Around the Hour Mark: North Shore Beach Stop
Back inside the river mouth, the group pulls up on the Noosa North Shore behind the Frying Pan. You’ve got 15 minutes off the ski. Go for a swim, grab a bottle of water or a juice with some chips, a muffin or a brownie, and listen in while your guide talks about the wildlife, the Noosa Bar and the sand dunes.
The Final Stretch: River Circuit
Then it’s back on the skis for some faster riding in the designated circuit area, before the group heads back up the river to the marina.
Pick Your Jet Ski Safari Time
There are five sessions every day, all year round:
- 8:00am to 9:30am
- 9:45am to 11:15am
- 11:30am to 1:00pm
- 1:15pm to 2:45pm
- 3:00pm to 4:30pm
Each session takes a maximum of five jet skis, so it’s worth booking ahead if your group needs a particular time. One guide leads every safari, and a second guide may follow behind for the bar crossing.
Safari for Couples, Mates and Families
Couples
Share a jet ski and swap drivers along the way, or take a ski each. Two people can ride together as long as one of you is 18 or over, and there’s no extra charge for the passenger.
Mates
Anyone 16 or over can ride their own jet ski, and with up to five skis on each safari, it suits a small group riding together. Nobody needs a licence or any jet ski experience.
Families
Kids can come along as passengers from 7 years old, as long as they’re at least 125cm tall and riding with someone 18 or over. There’s a maximum of two people on each jet ski.

We Supply
- Your guide for the full 90 minutes
- Life jackets
- Sunglass straps
- Drinks and snacks at the North Shore stop
You Bring
- Swimwear or clothes you don’t mind getting wet, because you will get wet
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses (we also sell them at the marina)
- A towel if you plan to swim at the North Shore
Good to Know
If the Noosa Bar or the ocean is too rough on the day, your safari runs as a river tour instead. To cancel, call us on at least 24 hours before your start time for a full refund or credit. You’ll also get a full refund or credit if we cancel because of the weather. Changes need 48 hours’ notice, and no shows are charged the full price.
